RAF Roundels Type C/C1 1:48 - painting mask from SX-Art

A set of self-adhesive painting masks from the SX-Art brand for creating British national roundels of types C and C1 in 1:48 scale. Instead of decals you use precisely cut stencils - you stick them onto the model and spray the individual colors on in turn. The resulting marking is matte like the surrounding finish and there is no risk of it peeling off or yellowing.

The insignia

Compared with the older version, the type C roundel has narrower white and yellow rings and was used from 1942 above all on the sides of the fuselage of British aircraft. The C1 variant adds an outer yellow surround. The narrower proportions were introduced for better standardization and a less conspicuous appearance during the war.
