Copper State Models 1:48 Royal Naval Air Service pilot is a resin figure of a British First World War pilot for aircraft models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a British pilot of the Royal Naval Air Service of the First World War period in 1:48 scale from Copper State Models. It adds a human element in period flying kit to dioramas and aircraft models of this period. It is not an aircraft kit, but a standalone figure to be assembled and painted.
The casting in fine modeling resin captures the characteristic leather coat, helmet and goggles of the early airmen. Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks, join the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and fill any small gaps with putty.
After priming, acrylic figure paints with layering for skin and fabric work well. Glazes and fine edge highlighting bring the leather to life, while shading and a dry brush give the face expression.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, putty and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
