SE.5a seatbelts early STEEL 1:48 – a steel photo-etched set of seat belts from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the British SE.5a fighter of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An Eduard photo-etched set of seat belts in 1:48 scale in the STEEL version – in pre-colored steel sheet. The set is intended for the early form of the pilot's belts of the British SE.5a fighter of the First World War. Steel photo-etch holds its shape better and reproduces the natural curve of the straps faithfully. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for the cockpit.
The Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5a was a British single-seat fighter biplane of the First World War. It ranked among the most successful Allied fighters of the closing stages of the war; it was notable for good flying qualities and a sturdy structure. The seat belts of the machines of that time matched the simple practice of the period.
The pre-colored steel belts are fitted into the cockpit onto the pilot's seat. Thanks to the steel material they can be shaped into a realistic sag. Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a cutting surface and glue them with super glue; even out the color only gently if needed.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a model in its own right. It calls for the matching base kit, which is not included in the package.
