Soviet Red-White Outlined Kremlins Stars — Late 1:48 is a set of cut self-adhesive masks for spraying Soviet national stars with a red and white edging in the late pattern. It is neither a model nor decals, but a masking set for painting the insignia.

A set of self-adhesive masking stencils from the Czech manufacturer Armycast, intended for spraying Soviet national insignia onto aircraft models in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor decals — the package holds only cut masks, which are applied to the finished paintwork of the model, the insignia is sprayed in paint over them and the masks are then removed. Specifically these are stars with a red and white edging, in the shape variant that the manufacturer designates as the Kremlin one, and in the late pattern.
The Soviet Air Force used the red five-pointed star in several patterns that changed one after another. Older machines carried a star with no edging, during the war a white or yellow outline came to the fore and in the closing period a combination of a white edging completed by a thin red line along the outer edge appeared. The set covers precisely this later combination. The manufacturer offers the earlier period and the variant with a white edging alone as separate items, so it is worth comparing the form of the insignia with photographs of the particular machine you are building.
Apply the masks only to perfectly dry, smooth and degreased paintwork. Press the edges down carefully, with a wooden skewer for instance, so that the paint does not run under them. Spray several very thin coats and direct the paint straight down from above, not from the side under the edge of the mask. With outlined insignia you work in two steps: the color of the edging goes on first, then the core is masked and the star itself is sprayed. Take the masks off with tweezers while the paint is not yet fully hard — the edge then stays sharp.
The package holds masks only. The model, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
