A set of wet transfers with national insignia and stencil markings for a model of the Spitfire Mk.IX aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was a British fighter of the Second World War and is among the most frequently built subjects of all. That is precisely why it pays to pay attention to its markings: the national insignia and the small stencil markings are seen at close range on a finished model and decide the final impression.
This is a set of wet transfers in 1:48 scale that brings national insignia and stencil markings, that is the small lettering and marks on the surface of the airframe. Which particular options can be made from it and how many elements the sheet carries are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The surface of the model must be dry, smooth and degreased before application, otherwise the elements will not adhere across their whole area. Lay the element in place, moisten it and remove the backing paper after a moment. The procedure for wet transfers differs from ordinary decals, so follow the manufacturer's instructions and do not soak the whole sheet in water. Work one element at a time, adjust the position with a soft brush and let the finished markings dry undisturbed.
The set is for modelers who are building the Spitfire Mk.IX and want both the insignia and the small stencils to be accurate. The model of the aircraft, paints, clear coat and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
