An add-on set of engine exhaust nozzles for a model of the SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird is an American two-seat reconnaissance aircraft intended for flight at great altitude and at speeds nobody has beaten to this day. The airframe is largely of titanium alloys, because the surface heats up in flight to temperatures aluminum cannot take. The engine nacelles on the wing are separate cylindrical bodies with a movable cone at the front of the intake, and at their rear are the exhaust nozzles, which the customer looks at every time the model is put on a shelf tail toward the room.
An add-on set of exhaust nozzles for the SR-71 model in 1:48 scale. The nozzles from a kit tend to be shallow and to have thick walls, because otherwise they could not be molded; a replacement part allows a thin rim and the depth you can see into. The extent of the set, the number of parts and the kit the set is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cement for polystyrene has no effect on the parts, so join them with superglue. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down; inside the nozzle proceed carefully so that the fine relief stays. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Apply metallic shades onto a smooth base and in thin coats, as they lose their shine on a rough surface. Paint the inside of the nozzle before you seat it in the fuselage.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
