A metal air intake set 1:48 for a model of the Su-35 from the Metallic Details brand. It adds detail to one of the hardest places on a model to deal with.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set in 1:48 scale aimed at the air intakes of a model of the Su-35 fighter. It is not a kit but an accessory. On modern fighters the intakes are among the parts that give a plastic kit away most: the edge is always thicker, the duct shallow, and the internal seams are seen by everyone who looks at the model from the front.
The Su-35 comes out of the Su-27 design family, with two engines and large rectangular air intakes under the wing roots. It is precisely this family of aircraft that has protective elements in the lower part of the intake against the ingestion of objects off the runway, which is one of the most visually characteristic details of the whole forward part of the airframe.
Spray the inside of the duct first, ideally in a light color, while it is accessible, and only then close the intake. Fill and sand the longitudinal seams inside; the finished model is looked into directly through the intake and an untouched joint cannot be hidden. True the metal edge of the intake up on a round handle of matching diameter, so that it seats without rippling. Glue with superglue gel in small sections and keep checking the shape. Degrease the metal before painting and lay a primer on. On the edge of the intake, fine polishing or a darker metal shade suits, suggesting wear on the leading edge.
This is an accessory for adding detail to a plastic kit, not a model of its own. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
