A detail set in 1:48 scale aimed at the exterior details of a model of the Su-35 fighter. This is not a kit but an accessory for a plastic model. Exterior elements such as covers, sensors and small plates are always molded thicker in injection plastic than they are in reality, and metal parts put them back into scale.
The Su-35 is a single-seat multirole fighter derived from the Su-27 design family. It has two turbofan engines, a deep center tunnel between the engine nacelles and an aerodynamically clean airframe with a large fuel load. Against the older Su-27 it was given modernized avionics and a revised airframe structure.
Exterior parts are not glued on at the beginning but at the end: finish the paint, the decals and the gloss clear first, and only then seat the small metal elements. Otherwise you will flood them with paint and lose exactly the sharpness you are buying them for. Degrease the surface before gluing, and shave and sand down the plastic detail the metal replaces. Glue with a minimal drop of superglue gel applied with the tip of a wire. Paint small parts separately, still on the fret, and only afterwards touch the edge up. With two-color camouflage schemes, let the boundary transition run under the part, so that the metal glued in does not disturb the boundary.
This is an accessory for adding detail to a plastic kit, not a model of its own. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
