An IONIC paint set from the Real Heavy Metal sub-range, named after the deeply purple shade Deep Magenta.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paint set from the IONIC range and, within it, from the Real Heavy Metal sub-range. The word Set is in the name itself, so this is a package of several containers named after the shade Deep Magenta. How many containers are in the package and what volume they have is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
Magenta is purple on the border between red and violet, and the word Deep points to its darker, saturated register. Such a tone comes into its own on the ceremonial cloaks and robes of figures, on the heraldic fields of shields and banners, on upholstery and interior panels in a diorama and on the bold painted surfaces of fantasy machinery. It also serves as a saturated shadow under a lighter pink or violet area. Compare the actual tone with the manufacturer's color chart; a shade shown on a screen always differs a little from the applied paint.
Stir the container thoroughly before picking the paint up, as pigment settles at the bottom in modeling paints. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer and those instructions take precedence over any general advice, because a thinner from another range may curdle the paint. Lay a saturated purple over a lighter base; on a dark area it loses its glow and needs more coats. Work in thin coats and let each one dry, otherwise the engraving is flooded and the fine relief disappears. Flush the brush right after work, as purple pigments wash out of bristles badly.
The paints of this set are supplied. Brushes, an airbrush and thinner are not included, unless stated otherwise.
