Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of an American aircraft mechanic with a fuel cart from the Second World War in the Pacific, in 1:48 scale from Aerobonus (the Aires range). It is not an airplane model — it is an accessory figure with equipment, meant to be painted and set into an airfield scene. Besides the mechanic himself, the set holds the parts of a hand fuel cart, which makes it a ready basis for a small diorama scene of refueling.
The refueling scene is one of the most typical moments of life on a front-line airfield. A mechanic at the cart gives a model action, scale and credibility, and he suits American machines deployed in the Pacific. The cart is a rewarding element for telling a story around a parked aircraft.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the joints with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. It is practical to paint the figure and the cart before final assembly; use a primer, shaded coats of acrylics or oils, metal shades and light weathering on the cart for a period, worn look.
The figure and the cart are supplied unpainted and cast in resin, to be glued and painted. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
