A decal sheet (water-slide decals) in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer DK Decals. It offers markings for the Vickers Wellington bombers of No. 311 Czechoslovak Squadron RAF in the period when it served with Bomber Command and later with Coastal Command. The sheet contains national insignia, code letters, serial numbers and personal markings for several particular machines. It is not a model or a kit - it serves to finish your own Wellington model.
No. 311 Czechoslovak bomber squadron was the only Czechoslovak bomber unit in the RAF. With Wellingtons it first flew night raids against targets in Germany and occupied Europe, and after its transfer to Coastal Command it flew long-range patrol and anti-submarine sorties over the Atlantic. Its history is among the important chapters of the Czechoslovak resistance abroad.
The decals are released in lukewarm water and settled onto the model. Even the surface out with a gloss coat so that no dried film appears. A decal softener helps them settle into the detail, and a final matte or semi-gloss coat seals them. The placement follows the enclosed instructions.
This is a decal sheet, not a model. The kit, paints and clear coat are not included in the package.
