Quinta Studio 1:48 Yak-1 middle production, interior 3D decals in the base skill variant is the entry-level set of three-dimensional decals of the pilot's station for a plastic kit in 1:48 scale. The elements are transferred by a short soak in lukewarm water.

This is an accessory, not a kit. Quinta Studio makes its interiors as three-dimensional decals: colored elements with relief, printed on a backing decal paper, which after a short soak in lukewarm water slide onto the cockpit parts of a plastic model of the Soviet Yak-1 fighter in its middle production form, 1:48 scale. The base skill designation refers to the basic, simpler version of the line - suitable where you want a quick effect without long fine-tuning.
With a photo-etched interior the painting and varnishing is the most laborious part: the metal has to be degreased, primed, sprayed and only then brought out. Three-dimensional decals come finished in color, including the instrument scales and the glossy glasses. The whole painting cycle falls away, and with it the risk of fine photo-etch being clogged with paint. The relief stays raised, so the result under an open canopy does not look flat.
First test dry where each element belongs, and only then cut it out and soak it. The surface has to be degreased and ideally gone over with a gloss coat, because the elements have no adhesive layer of their own and it is precisely on a smooth gloss that they hold reliably. Spray the base shade of the cockpit beforehand, because the area around the decal stays visible. Dip the cut-out part in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds, slide it off the paper into place and straighten the position with a damp brush. On curved walls work in sections, blot the excess water away and press the element down with a soft wooden stick from the center toward the edges; on intricate places a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin.
