This item is not a kit but an accessory set from the Czech brand Eduard. At Eduard the LööK range is associated with a resin instrument panel completed with printed detail in color, and the plus suffix means that the package holds more than the panel alone and brings several accessories for one model together at once. The base Z-226 model in 1:48 scale has to be bought separately.
The Zlin Z-226 belongs to the family of training and aerobatic aircraft of the Trener series, which came about in Otrokovice in the 1950s. It is a two-seat low-wing monoplane with the seats in tandem and an inline piston Walter Minor engine. The type became the backbone of training in flying clubs, it took aerobatics well, and its balanced controls made it a favorite among competition pilots too. The Trener series ran to many versions and considerable export, and individual aircraft are still flying today.
Separate the resin parts from the casting blocks with a fine-bladed saw and level the surfaces with abrasive paper, ideally used wet. Then wash the surface in lukewarm water with dish soap, because paint will not hold over any remains of mold release agent. They are glued solely with cyanoacrylate glue, since ordinary plastic cement has no effect on resin. Do not paint over the surfaces printed in color, or you would lose the detail that is the whole point of the set. It is practical to finish the whole cockpit before the fuselage is closed and to dry fit it, so as to avoid the fuselage halves not closing properly.
The accessory set is supplied without the base kit. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
