This is a set of 12 turned metal barrels for the French naval gun of 100 mm caliber and 45 calibers length, Model 1930, in 1:700 scale. It is not a kit but an accurate replacement part (a detail set) from the Polish manufacturer MASTER with which you replace the plastic barrels from the box. The turned finish gives the barrel a perfectly round cross-section and a sharp muzzle.
The 100 mm Model 1930 gun made up the anti-aircraft and dual-purpose armament of French warships. Among the ships that carried it were the battleship Richelieu and the heavy cruiser Algérie. A set of twelve barrels covers the complete set of turrets of this gun on one model.
Cut off the original plastic barrels and clean up the seating face. Glue the metal barrels on with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the surface before painting and use a primer for metal. A metal barrel also survives handling better than a thin plastic part.
This is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
