HMS Badsworth 1941 Hunt II is a plastic kit of a British Hunt class (type II) escort destroyer in 1:700 scale from IBG.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures a British Hunt class escort destroyer, subtype II, in her 1941 condition. The model is conceived as a waterline version (cut at the waterline) and besides the plastic parts it also contains a photo-etched fret and a decal sheet. The build is rounded out by fine deck detail, superstructures, armament, boats and masts.
The Hunt class was a British series of small escort destroyers of the Second World War, intended mainly to protect convoys and for anti-submarine and anti-aircraft work. Subtype II differed from the first in a wider hull, which improved stability and allowed a heavier armament to be carried. HMS Badsworth served in demanding convoy operations.
The waterline hull can be seated on the base supplied or in a sea diorama of your own. A thin cement for plastic is recommended, and the photo-etched parts (railings, ladders) are best worked with cyanoacrylate glue. Fill and sand the small gun barrels and the masts with a light touch. For a faithful look, a naval camouflage scheme and fine washes to bring out the deck detail work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
