Aoshima IJN I-19 submarine 1:700 is a plastic kit of a Japanese submarine of the Second World War from the Waterline series.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Japanese submarine I-19 in 1:700 scale from the Japanese maker Aoshima, part of the well-proven Waterline model series. The model captures the hull and the deck superstructure of the submarine and is set up for a waterline build, that is, for showing it on the surface.
The I-19 was a large ocean-going submarine of the Imperial Japanese Navy of the B1 type. Submarines of this class had great range, carried a deck gun and could transport a small reconnaissance floatplane with a catapult in a hangar. The I-19 entered the history of the war in the Pacific as an exceptionally effective submarine.
Separate the small parts of the superstructure, the gun and the railings carefully and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Submarines paint well with an airbrush in dark naval shades; the lower hull can be picked out separately and the whole brought out with fine shading and a dry brush. The model can be added to a base or set into the water surface of a diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
