A resin kit of the Japanese battleship IJN Ise in her state from 1917, in 1:700 scale from the Czech maker ROP. The model is intended for experienced modelers with experience of resin. It captures the ship in her original form of a conventional battleship, that is before the later conversion into a hybrid aircraft carrier.
IJN Ise was the lead ship of the two ship class of Japanese dreadnoughts of the same name, commissioned in December 1917. She carried a main armament of fourteen inch caliber in six turrets. During the Second World War the ship was rebuilt into an unusual hybrid battleship with a flight deck, but this model corresponds to the original state from 1917.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sprue gates and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model suits a base or a water surface (waterline). Shades of Japanese naval gray and accenting of the decks, the funnels and the masts are recommended. Fine railings and fittings can be added with photo-etched parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
