Barrels for the Indianapolis, New Orleans, Northampton, Lexington and Pensacola classes 1:700 (RB model) are turned metal barrels replacing the plastic parts of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal barrels in 1:700 scale from RB model. It is not a ship kit but a detail accessory for American heavy cruisers and for ships carrying eight-inch guns. The metal barrels have an accurate cylindrical shape and drilled muzzles.
The American heavy cruisers of the Pensacola, Northampton, New Orleans and Indianapolis classes carried main guns of 203 mm (8 inches) caliber and 55 calibers in length. Eight-inch guns of the same caliber were also carried by the Lexington in her original form. This caliber was the upper limit of the armament of heavy cruisers under the naval treaties of the day.
Clean the barrels up carefully and glue them into the turrets with super glue. Degrease before painting and apply a base for metal, then the top shade. In 1:700 scale, metal holds its shape better than thin plastic barrels.
The package holds only the turned barrels, not the whole model. Glue and paints are not included.
