The set contains main landing gear wheels for models of the Soviet MiG-3 fighter with realistically weighted tires. The flat spot where the tire meets the ground faithfully simulates the deflection under the weight of the aircraft, so the model stands naturally. The tread pattern matches the type for unpaved, field surfaces.
The resin castings have a finely rendered tread structure and hub detail that surpass simplified plastic parts. The tire pattern comes out nicely once it is painted and dusted with pigments for a field airfield effect.
Before fitting, separate the parts from the casting blocks and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue, and we recommend a coat of primer underneath. Take care to turn the flat spot down toward the ground.
