An injection-molded plastic kit of the heavy field howitzer of 155 mm caliber of the Schneider system, model of 1917, in 1:72 scale from the Polish brand First to Fight. The models of this range are conceived as simple, quickly built kits aimed at being straightforward and easy to follow. The package contains plastic parts, decals and instructions; the exact contents depend on the particular release.
The Canon de 155 C mle 1917 Schneider was a French heavy howitzer developed at the close of the First World War. Thanks to its rugged construction and good ballistic qualities it stayed in the armament of many armies through the interwar period and into the beginning of the Second World War. In the Polish army it served as the 155 mm wz. 1917 howitzer and was among the main artillery forces in the defense of 1939. The weapon was marked by a two-wheeled carriage and split trails, which gave it stability while firing.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and lay down a primer before painting. The smaller parts of the carriage and the barrel call for careful separation from the sprue and cleanup. We recommend a uniform flat shade of period equipment, accentuation of the rivets and details with a dry brush and light weathering with a wash and pigments for the dusty feel of an artillery position.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
