A plastic kit, 3.7 cm PaK 35/36 / 4.2 cm PaK 41 1:72 from UM: a model of two German antitank guns.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of two German antitank guns in 1:72 scale from UM. From the set you can build the light 37 mm PaK 35/36 antitank gun or the squeeze-bore 42 mm PaK 41. The package contains plastic sprues, photo-etched parts and decals; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The small parts put the model among the more demanding ones.
The 3.7 cm PaK 35/36 was the standard German antitank gun of the late 1930s, light and easy to move, with declining effect against more heavily armored targets. The 4.2 cm PaK 41 was a follow-on gun with a squeeze-bore barrel (the tapered-bore system), which reached higher penetrating power at short range. It shared a modified carriage with its predecessor, which is why both types are offered in one set.
Work carefully with the small parts of the barrel, the carriage and the shield; glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Treat the surface with a primer and paint with an airbrush in period gray shades. The model shows well in a diorama with a gun crew and added dust weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
