A detailed short-run kit of the Soviet 4M quadruple anti-aircraft machine gun mount, with crew figures added. Zebrano is a maker of smaller, collector-oriented kits, which often combine injection-molded plastic with fine resin parts. It is a model intended rather for more experienced modelers who will appreciate the level of detail in a small scale.
The 4M anti-aircraft mount coupled four Maxim machine guns on a single mounting with a high rate of fire, meant against low-flying targets. The assembly was mounted on the beds of trucks as well as in fixed positions and the Red Army used it widely to defend marching columns and rear-area installations.
Wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and bond them with super glue; protect your airways when sanding. The fine barrels and the cooling jackets of the machine guns call for careful handling. Paint the crew and the mounting in Soviet protective green; bring the metal parts out with a light dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
