An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet A-39 self-propelled artillery mount in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer UM (UniModels). The model is based on the chassis of the T-26 light tank and carries an open artillery mount. The package holds polystyrene parts and a decal sheet; for the exact contents, follow the instructions included.
The A-39 was one of the Soviet experimental self-propelled artillery pieces of the 1930s that used the widespread and well-established T-26 chassis. The aim was to give the artillery the mobility of an armored vehicle. It was an experimental solution, of which Soviet design of the day tried out a whole series.
Glue the model with liquid cement for plastic; pay attention to the open mount and the gun, which are clearly visible once assembled. Finish the running gear before closing up the hull. We recommend a primer, airbrush painting and picking out the details with a wash; add the mud and dust effects with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
