A cut self-adhesive masking set for the Czechoslovak sport monoplanes Avia BH.9 and BH.11 in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Peewit. It is not an airplane model but a set of precisely cut masks in fine masking tape, which make clean, straight masking of surfaces during painting easier, without your having to cut the tape laboriously by hand.
The Avia BH.9 and the BH.11 that followed it were two-seat low-wing sport aircraft from the first half of the 1920s, one of the early successes of the Czechoslovak aviation industry. They were light strutted monoplanes with open cockpits, in which the pilot and the passenger sat one behind the other. The BH.11 gained an outstanding reputation for its day thanks to victories in air races and several long-distance flights; in the armed forces it also served for training and liaison duties. It was powered by a Walter radial engine.
Transfer the masks onto a perfectly clean, degreased surface, seat them precisely and press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a burnisher so that paint cannot seep under them. Apply the paint gradually and lift the masks before it has hardened completely, so that the edges stay sharp. Any adhesive residue can be removed by moistening it gently.
The set contains self-adhesive masks; it is not a model and not a kit. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
