1:72 Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV F

Painting masks Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV F (1:72, AML)

Self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech maker AML for a model of the Bristol Blenheim Mk.IVF in 1:72 scale. The masks bound the dividing lines of the upper-surface camouflage scheme exactly, which means that even the larger areas of this twin-engine machine can be painted quickly and with sharp transitions.

The real subject

The Bristol Blenheim was a British twin-engine light bomber and reconnaissance airplane that served from the beginning of the Second World War. The Mk.IVF version was a long-range fighter and escort conversion fitted with an additional under-fuselage gun pack; among other duties it was used for convoy protection and night patrols.

Use

• Lay the masks on the dried base coat and press the edges down carefully against paint creeping under.
• Spray the contrasting shade with an airbrush in coats; take the mask off while the paint is still fresh.
• On large areas, spray patiently and rather in several thin coats.

Who the set is for

• Modelers building British twin-engine aircraft of the Second World War in 1:72.
• Those who want an accurate and symmetrical camouflage scheme with no marking out by hand.

This is a masking aid, not a model or paints. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
