A plastic kit of the Soviet XT-26 flame-throwing tank in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The XT-26 was a Soviet flame-throwing tank built on the chassis of the T-26 light tank. In the Soviet terminology of the day the word chemical denoted exactly these machines for flamethrowers and contamination, not a special kind of armament. The vehicle was based on the twin-turret version of the T-26: in place of one of the turrets it carried flame-throwing armament with a tank of incendiary mixture, and it was used mainly against fortifications and dug-in infantry, that is where an ordinary gun could do little.
This is an unglued and unpainted plastic kit in 1:72 scale. In this scale the finished tank stays small, but the small features such as the road wheels, the exhaust and the tools on the fenders call for careful cleaning up. The exact number of parts and the extent of the package are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Fit the road wheels and the track links so that the track lies evenly and the model stands on all its wheels on the surface. Cut the parts off with a sharp knife a little away from the part and sand the remainder with fine abrasive paper. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the paint manufacturer's directions on the bottle. The intricate surface stands out when you accent the gaps with a dark glaze and go over the edges with a dry brush in a lighter shade.
The set is for modelers interested in Soviet interwar hardware and in the less usual variants of well-known chassis. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
