Peewit painting masks — Curtiss H-75 Hawk, base under the decals, 1:72

A set of die-cut self-adhesive painting masks in 1:72 scale for the American Curtiss H-75 Hawk fighter. The masks are not meant for the canopy glazing but for spraying a base color, usually a light one, in the places where the national insignia and markings will go; the base makes sure the decals are saturated and will not show through.

Use

• Lay the masks on the places intended for the insignia and markings.
• Spray the base color and lift the masks off once it has dried.
• On the prepared base you then apply the decals, or spray the insignia themselves.
• It prevents show-through and raises the saturation of the national insignia.
