Big Ed brings several separate Eduard photo-etched sets together in a single package. It contains parts for the exterior as well as the interior of a model of the four-engine Boeing Fortress Mk.III bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of accessories for a plastic kit. The maker is the Czech firm Eduard.
Fortress Mk.III was the British designation of the American Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber in the version matching the B-17G. In Royal Air Force service, Fortress machines were deployed with Coastal Command and in electronic warfare, among other roles. The type was marked out by its heavy defensive armament and its high operational ceiling.
The color-printed interior parts (the instrument panels, the belts) are not overpainted and markedly raise the realism of the pilot's station. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, bend them in a bending tool and bond them with super glue. The steel seat belts can be shaped gently once they are stuck on, for a natural look.
This is a combined package of photo-etched accessories, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
