This is not a model of a boat but a fine resin accessory for more experienced modelers. The set reproduces the life raft of a German fast attack craft (Schnellboot) of the Second World War. The resin casting captures the fine structure and the details that are hard to achieve in injection-molded plastic. The accessory is intended for models of fast attack craft (Schnellboot) in 1:72 scale.

What the accessory is for

You fit the raft on the deck of the boat and thereby raise both the fidelity and the story of the model. It also suits a naval diorama or a separate detail in a display case with a wartime navy theme.

Building and painting tips

First wash the mold release residue off the part, cut the casting block off carefully and clean up the surfaces. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Sand the resin with your airways protected. Lay down a primer before painting, then the base shade and light weathering to bring out the structure.
