This set is a modeling accessory, not a model of an aircraft. It contains a vacuum-formed clear cockpit canopy for the British Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib fighter-bomber in 1:72 scale. The thin, clean part replaces the original glazing from the kit and sharpens the shape of the canopy.
The Hawker Typhoon was a British single-seat fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War. It excelled as a destroyer of ground targets, armed with cannons and rockets, and played a key part in supporting the Allied ground forces in Western Europe.
Cut the canopy out outside the engraved edge, sand it down and dip it in a gloss varnish for maximum clarity. Glue with thin PVA glue or a special glue for canopies, which does not fog clear areas. Mask the frames carefully before spraying.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The glue, the paints and the base model are not included in the package.
