Building, filling, painting and decals are therefore unnecessary, which will be appreciated both by collectors who gather equipment in a uniform scale and by people who have no interest in modeling but want a particular vehicle on a shelf.
The abbreviation IFV marks an infantry fighting vehicle, a category that stands between an armored personnel carrier and a light tank. Compared with a simple carrier it has a turret of its own with a cannon and the ability to fire on the move, so it not only carries the infantry but supports it as well. The M2A2 version is a modernized form with strengthened protection of the hull and the turret. In design it is a tracked vehicle with the turret moved toward the center and with space for a dismount crew at the rear.
The model is intended for display, not for play. Small parts such as antennas, mirrors and brackets are very fine in 1:72 scale and break or bend if handled carelessly, so take hold of the model by the hull, not by the superstructure. Remove dust with a soft brush or with compressed air from a safe distance. Solvents and aggressive cleaners would attack the factory finish, so do not use them. In a display case protect the model from direct sunlight, which does the colors no good in the long term.
