Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat version of the Messerschmitt Me 262 B-1a jet aircraft, or rather of its postwar Czechoslovak form, in 1:72 scale from Smer. The package holds gray plastic parts, clear parts for the lengthened two-seat canopy and a decal sheet. The model makes it possible to build the two-seat variant, which is worth telling apart from the single-seat versions.
The Me 262 was the first jet fighter in the world to be used in combat. The two-seat B-1a version appeared as a trainer and night fighter and had a lengthened canopy for a second crew member. After the war the Me 262 was built in Czechoslovakia at the Avia works; the single-seat machines carried the designation S-92 and the two-seaters the designation CS-92. It was one of the first jet aircraft in the armory of the postwar Czechoslovak Air Force.
Give attention to the fit of the engine nacelles and of the lengthened two-seat canopy, which should be masked carefully before painting. Join the parts with liquid cement for plastic and treat the surface with a base coat before painting. The metal surfaces of a jet come into their own when sprayed with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
