An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet OB-3 armored railroad car fitted with turrets of the T-26 tank of the 1933 pattern in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer UM (UniModels). The model belongs to the armored train range and combines polystyrene parts with photo-etched detail and a decal sheet; sections of track are usually included. For the exact contents, follow the instructions included.
The OB-3 was a Soviet armored railroad wagon. This version carries turrets from the T-26 light tank of the 1933 pattern – cylindrical turrets with a gun, typical of the T-26 of that time. Fitting tank turrets to armored wagons was common practice on Soviet armored trains, which thereby gained considerable firepower.
Glue the model with liquid cement for plastic and attach the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Pay attention to the seating of the turrets and to their rings. We recommend a primer, an airbrush and picking out the details with a wash; weather the running gear with pigments. The model can be expanded into a whole armored train formation.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
