This kit in 1:24 scale captures the Nissan Skyline GTS-R of the R31 series in racing form, to which the Diesel Kiki designation in the name refers. The 1:24 scale is the most widespread one on car models, so the finished car measures roughly nineteen centimeters and stands well beside the other models in a collection.
The Skyline GTS-R of the R31 series came about as a homologation version, that is to say a production car built so that its racing counterpart would be allowed to start in Group A circuit races for touring cars. It differed from the ordinary versions in modifications to the drivetrain and the aerodynamics. Group A circuit cars carried the advertising of their partners, by which the individual cars are told apart to this day.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and for the work you will need cement for polystyrene, paints and clear coats. On racing cars the body is what decides: lay thin coats on, let them dry out properly, polish the surface and only then do the decals and the final clear coat come in turn. Fit the glazing only after polishing and glue it with glue for clear parts so that the surface does not go dull. The range of parts, the decals and the recommended shades are stated by the instructions of the manufacturer.
Paints, clear coats, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
