Percival Proctor Mk.III in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Dora Wings — a plastic kit of the British single-engine aircraft in its postwar civil form.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the British single-engine aircraft Percival Proctor Mk.III in an edition focused on civil operation. The Ukrainian brand Dora Wings specializes in less usual subjects of the 1930s and 1940s, and its short-run injection-molded kits are marked by fine surface detail. This release presents the machine in the form in which it flew on civil registers after the Second World War.
The Percival Proctor was a British single-engine low-wing monoplane that arose at the end of the 1930s from the development of the Percival Vega Gull touring aircraft. During the Second World War it served with the RAF and with naval aviation as a communications and training machine; the Mk.III version was used above all to train radio operators. The power came from a de Havilland Gipsy Queen engine. After the war a number of retired Proctors were sold to private owners and flying clubs, so the type could be met at civil airfields for a long time after 1945 — and it is precisely this chapter of its career that the kit recalls.
With a short-run kit it pays to dry-fit the parts before gluing and, if necessary, sand the contact faces gently. Join the fuselage halves with a thin cement for plastic and place the small parts with tweezers. Civil machines flew in glossier schemes, so we recommend a smooth base of primer and a gloss coat before applying the decals, so that silvering does not occur.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
