A set of injection-molded plastic figures of members and ground crew of the Luftwaffe of the Second World War in 1:72 scale from Heller. The package contains a larger number of figures in various poses, which will bring an aviation diorama or an airfield beside aircraft models to life. The figures are in single-color plastic and meant to be assembled and painted.
Luftwaffe ground personnel kept the airfields running: refueling, preparing ammunition, maintenance and marshaling the machines. It is precisely these figures that give aviation dioramas scale and life: mechanics at an engine, crews with ammunition carts and personnel going about ordinary tasks. The figures are based on the period uniforms and equipment of the Luftwaffe.
Separate the small parts carefully and glue them with a liquid plastic cement. Because of the small size, painting with a fine brush, the dry brush technique for picking out the folds of uniforms and a darker tone in the recesses all prove worthwhile. You can manage Luftwaffe uniforms in gray-blue and field shades; faces come to life with a delicate flesh tone and discreet detailing. The figures can be arranged in groups to suit the scene.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
