This is a set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale with the markings of the Soviet fighter biplane the Polikarpov I-153 Chaika operated by the Finnish Air Force during the Second World War. The set is not a kit: it holds decals only, for a painted model of the I-153 of the corresponding scale.
The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika was a Soviet single-seat biplane fighter with retractable landing gear. Finland put some of the captured machines into its own service. The decals make it possible to finish a model in Finnish colors and with the national insignia of the period.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish, which prevents the edges from going dull. Once they have dried, overcoat with a matte or semi-gloss varnish according to the surface. A decal softener helps them settle into engraved lines and onto the rounded surfaces of the biplane.
The set holds decals only. The model, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
