Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.F2(G) medium tank in 1:72 scale from the maker Dragon. The model has a one-piece upper hull, a new turret with the long barrel and, for an easy build, road wheels and track made as a single unit. It is a typical small armor subject in 1:72 scale with a good balance of detail and speed of building. Check the exact contents of the package and the decals against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The F2 version meant a fundamental increase in the firepower of the Panzer IV: instead of the short barrel it received the long 75 mm KwK 40 L/43 gun, which could penetrate the armor of the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 tanks. The transitional designation F2 was used for the machines that received the long barrel first, while the following production Ausf.G version was very close to that equipment standard, which is why the combined designation F2(G) is used. This modernization kept the Panzer IV in the fight until the end of the war.
In the small 1:72 scale it pays to clean the parts up carefully and to glue them with thin cement for plastic. Paint the running gear and the tracks separately before gluing them to the hull. After the base coat and the varnish, bring out the cast and riveted detail with a fine wash; German machines take restrained weathering, dust and traces of service. The long barrel tends to be thin, so handle it carefully during cleanup and painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
