A masking set for a model of the Italian Reggiane Re.2005 fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Reggiane Re.2005 was an Italian single-engine fighter of the end of the Second World War. It belonged to what was called the fifth series, that is to the group of Italian fighters re-engined with a V12 derived from the German Daimler-Benz DB 605. Compared with the older Italian types it had markedly higher performance and better armament, but it reached production late and only a few dozen were built. For a modeler it is an attractive subject precisely because it is rarely seen.
A masking set for a model in 1:72 scale. The masks do away with the laborious patching of adhesive tape and hold a crisp paint transition where covering by hand would leave an uneven edge. Which surfaces of the model the set covers and in what order the individual parts are laid down are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Lay the mask onto a perfectly clean and dry surface and press it down all the way around, otherwise the paint will run underneath. Spray several thin coats; a single heavy one piles up under the edge of the mask and leaves a step once it is taken off. Take the mask off while the paint is still tacky-dry, not after it has cured completely, and pull it back at an angle across itself. Remove any adhesive residue or paper fibers with a soft cloth.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
