New Ware RF-101A Voodoo BASIC 1:72 are accurate self-adhesive painting masks for clean masking of the canopy and the clear parts when airbrushing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A basic set of accurate self-adhesive masks of thin washi (kabuki) tape from New Ware. It lets you mask the canopy glazing and the main clear parts of the model quickly and cleanly before spraying. The material follows the shape of the glazing, holds on the edges and leaves no adhesive residue once lifted. The BASIC level concentrates on the basic masking of the canopy and of the most important areas.
The RF-101A was an unarmed reconnaissance derivative of the McDonnell F-101 Voodoo fighter. It came about by rebuilding the F-101A airframe into a photo-reconnaissance configuration and became the first supersonic photo-reconnaissance aircraft. Among other things it flew reconnaissance sorties over Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis and later in Vietnam.
For modelers who want the canopy masked reliably without cutting tape by hand, and for those for whom the basic extent of the BASIC level is enough.
These are painting masks, not a model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
