Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale with Soviet red stars. It is made by the Polish firm Techmod under part number 72102 and printed by offset. The manufacturer states six sizes and several outline forms: the star without an outline and then the star with a yellow, white, black and red-white outline. It is not a kit and not the marking of one particular machine, but a general sheet for Soviet subjects.
The red star was the national marking of the Soviet Air Force and of ground vehicles alike. Its form changed over time: earlier machines carried a solid star without an outline or with a thin black edge, while from 1943 the more pronounced white and later red-white outline took hold, which set the marking off from the camouflage. Size and placement varied by type, by production plant and by unit, so choosing according to a photograph of the particular machine makes sense.
Lay a gloss coat over the area under the decal, otherwise a visible film edge will stay. Cut the design out, dip it briefly in lukewarm water and slide it onto the model. On a convex surface a decal softener helps. Line the star up on the wing and on the tail surface with the panel lines, and finally seal everything with a matte coat.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
