AML Spitfire LF Mk.IXe, barrel fairings without guns 1:72 is a small resin set with the aerodynamic fairings of the wing armament for a Spitfire IXe model in Czechoslovak Air Force guise. It is a detail accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This small resin set from the Czech maker AML contains the aerodynamic fairings of the wing armament for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk.IXe fighter. The form matches the machines of the Czechoslovak Air Force. With this set you replace the corresponding parts of the wing of a basic plastic model so that they match the configuration with covered barrels and no protruding guns. It is a detail accessory to plastic Spitfire Mk.IXe models in 1:72 scale from other makers; the airplane itself is not included in the package.
The Spitfire LF Mk.IXe was the low-altitude variant of the successful ninth version of the Spitfire with the so-called e wing, which offered a revised arrangement of the armament. Machines of this version flew after the Second World War with the Czechoslovak Air Force as well, until they were retired.
Separate the small resin parts carefully from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and bond them with super glue. Try the exact seating on the wing dry beforehand. Once the transitions have been filled, spray them with a primer so that the joint will not show after clear-coating.
A detail set is only an accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
