Injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov. The Commanders edition brings a decal sheet with machines led by well-known squadron commanders at the time of the Battle of Britain. The box contains plastic as well as clear parts and color instructions with the marking schemes. The model is a rewarding addition to a collection of aircraft of the early war era.
The Spitfire Mk.Ia was an early production form of the legendary British fighter with the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and armament of eight .303 caliber machine guns in the wings. It was machines of this version that bore the main weight of the defensive fighting of 1940. The enclosed markings refer to aircraft led by squadron commanders who wrote themselves into history by their results and their personal stories.
Separate the parts carefully and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. The typical British brown and green upper camouflage with a light underside is best applied with an airbrush over a thin base coat. Mask the cockpit glazing and fit it last. Apply the decals over a gloss coat so that they settle without silvering, and unify the surface with a matte coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
