AZ model 1:72 SR-53T-1 Rocketeer is a plastic kit of the British Saunders-Roe rocket-and-jet fighter in a fictional two-seat version.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from AZ model. It is based on the British experimental aircraft Saunders-Roe SR.53 and represents its fictional two-seat trainer version, the Rocketeer. The set contains clear parts and decals with fictional markings.
The Saunders-Roe SR.53 was a British experimental interceptor of the 1950s with combined propulsion: a rocket engine for a rapid rate of climb and a jet engine for cruise and landing. Only prototypes were built and the aircraft never entered production service. The two-seat version in this set is the designer's own reworking of the subject, that is, a what-if concept.
The small parts in sets of this kind call for careful cleaning up; glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Glue the clear cockpit parts with a cement intended for the purpose so that they do not fog. Apply a primer before painting and spray the smooth glossy surfaces with an airbrush. Fictional schemes leave room for a striking color treatment.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
