The real subject

The Su-30 is a two-seat multirole combat aircraft derived from the heavy Su-27 fighter. It keeps its characteristic shape with a blended fuselage and two vertical tail surfaces, but the crew is made up of two men sitting one behind the other. In versions for various users it belongs among the most widespread combat aircraft of its kind to this day.

What the set contains

The set brings together the ground equipment which on the real aircraft belongs to every stand: a boarding ladder for the crew to get in, wheel chocks under the wheels of the landing gear and a service ladder used when working on the airframe and on the engines. Small things like these give a model that is standing scale and turn it into a scene from an airfield. The exact number of parts and their assembly are stated in the instructions from the manufacturer.

Building and painting tips

Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so as not to break the thin rungs. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and let them dry out thoroughly. A thin layer of base color looks best, and only on it the shade according to the real subject, completed by bringing the edges out with a dry brush and by discreet dirtying of the lower parts. Try the ladders dry at the model before you stick them on for good, so that they sit at the right height and stand upright. Choose the suitable glue according to the material of the parts; super glue holds reliably.
