This resin set contains a pair of US Navy crew figures, a pilot and a radar intercept officer (RIO), together with ejection seats. The set is intended for models of the two-seat F-14A/B Tomcat fighter in 1:72 scale and will bring an empty cockpit to life with a realistically rendered crew.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier fighter of the US Navy with a variable-geometry wing. The crew consisted of the pilot and the radar intercept officer seated behind him, both on ejection seats. It is precisely the presence of figures in the cockpits that adds scale and dynamism to a finished model, above all with aircraft shown in takeoff configuration.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces gently. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply primer before painting, then paint the close-fitting flight suits, helmets and life vests and bring out the details with fine washes.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
