Resin wheel chocks for the land-based versions of the Su family in 1:72 scale from LP Models are a small accessory that makes a parked model convincing. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin castings of wheel chocks in the pattern used by land-based units. It is an accessory for aircraft models in 1:72 scale. It is neither a kit nor part of an aircraft: these are the chocks placed under the wheels of a parked machine.
A chock under the wheel stops the aircraft from rolling away on the apron; on the heavy machines of the Su family it belongs to the basic equipment of every parking spot. The pattern differs with the environment, though, because chocks used by land-based units are not identical to the equipment of carrier aircraft, which has to cope with the movement of the ship. On a model it is a small thing the viewer does not consciously notice, but its absence shows: a model without chocks looks like an exhibit, a model with chocks looks like an aircraft on its stand.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and wet-sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue; on a diorama base it is better to fix them only after painting. Chocks are usually dull and muddy, so after the filler primer and the base shade it pays to add a dark wash and a light dusting of pigment along the lower edges. If you use them loose, make sure they sit on the surface with their whole underside, otherwise the scene looks unnatural.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
