A photo-etched accessory set for a model of the F-22A fighter in 1:48 scale. It adds detail that cannot be rendered in injection-molded plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-22A is an American single-seat twin-engine fifth-generation fighter. Its shape is subordinated to the smallest possible radar return, so it has angularly faceted surfaces, recessed air intakes and its armament hidden in internal bays. It is precisely because of that strict geometry that every inaccurate or overly thick part shows on a model.
These are photo-etched parts, that is a thin metal sheet with etched items that you nip out, bend and glue onto the model. Photo-etch is an order of magnitude thinner than injection-molded plastic, so it can stand in for items that in reality have the thickness of sheet metal. The extent of the set and which parts of the aircraft it covers is given in the manufacturer's instructions. The set is cut for 1:48 scale, and the particular kit is likewise in the instructions.
The aircraft model, paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
