Waterproof sandpaper 180 by 90 mm, 400 grit from Green Stuff World. Made for wet sanding.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of sandpaper measuring one hundred and eighty by ninety millimeters in 400 grit, with a waterproof backing made for wet sanding. Water does three jobs at once while sanding: it washes the dust away, it keeps the abrasive from clogging and it stops fine particles from getting into the air.
The 400 grit is a medium grade with which you usually start once the excess filler has been taken off roughly. It is used for leveling the seams left by gluing a fuselage together, for smoothing filler down, for removing the marks left by nippers and for leveling surfaces after casting blocks have been cut off resin parts.
Wet the paper and rinse the surface as you go. Add a drop of dish soap to the water and it sands noticeably more smoothly. The sheet can be cut up and stuck onto a small block, which gives you a sanding stick for flat surfaces. Do not skip several grit grades, and after sanding rinse the part and let it dry out completely, otherwise primer will not hold.
After sanding, rinse the part and let it dry out completely, and only then apply primer.
