A set of full-color 3D decals from Kits-World in 1:32 scale. This is not a kit but an interior accessory that adds faithful padding to the seats of a model of the Boeing B-17F/B-17G Flying Fortress bomber. The decals have a three-dimensional relief and a color print, so they imitate quilted leather and fabric cushions without laborious painting and without having to shape photo-etch.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was a four-engined American heavy bomber of the Second World War, famous for its toughness and its heavy defensive armament. The B-17F version and the later B-17G formed the backbone of the daylight bombing effort over Europe.
3D decals are thicker than ordinary ones. Transfer them onto a thoroughly dry gloss surface and fix them with thin PVA glue. The manufacturer does not recommend a setting solution; if you do use a softener, use it sparingly, do not move the decal after applying it and leave it at least 45 minutes. The relief can be emphasized sensitively with a dark wash, so that the stitching stands out.
